This is the final week in our Ergonomic Focus and we are looking at seating, or more specifically Chairs (
click here for the article). If you’ve been following the posts you’ll hopefully know by now the definition of ergonomics (
the science of designing the job, equipment, and workplace to fit the worker …
but we’re sure you knew that!) we certainly do in our office and can confidently say we’re all sitting at eye-level with our computer, using a keyboard manager and wrist rest and after today’s post we’ll all be sitting a little straighter at our desks!
It has been an interesting series of articles and hopefully one which will help you identify the cause of any little niggles you feel while seated at your desk. The purpose is for us all to be healthier at work and awareness of the principles of ergonomics should certainly help you achieve that.

... not what we'd expect it to be - it's a great value executive chair with lumber support, our
Hatton Leather Chair also known as the
GAL00059
We stock a large range of office seating including entry level
canteen seating and
operator chairs BUT the most popular chair we sell is the Hatton. Maybe it's because of the great value for money, the sleek styling or the incorporated lumber support?
Anyway we're delighted that our customers have such good taste in office seating and we will continue to source the best office furniture.

As soon as I started writing the article for this week’s ergonomic focus, which is on the wrists, the first thing I noticed is that I appear to have incredibly bad ‘wrist posture’. If you think about how you type, many of us break the cardinal rule and rest our wrists on the table while working at our keyboard. To begin with it feels quite natural but believe me after writing the article (or in your case reading it) you’ll start to notice how delicate your wrist area is and you’ll be calling for support asap … my order is already firmly in!
