Bisley Office Furniture is one of the largest single brand office furniture manufacturers in the UK with a turnover of c £80million and a market share of in excess of 40%. The company is privately owned. The testimony of this ownership structure is a fully employed secure workforce, where there has never been a shop floor redundancy brought about by a downturn in business volumes.
Bisley have invested over £60 million in plant machinery and premises since 1985. A by-product of this mass inward investment is production processes which use state of the art technology, reducing waste and energy use.
Bisley are an ISO14001 accredited Company with a program of continual improvement to develop further ongoing environmental procedures and practices to enhance our Environmental Management System.
Supplier Chain Management
Bisley sources locally wherever possible in a highly competitive market. All manufacturing of product is undertaken in the UK.
Drawer slides are sourced from the Far East, (due to economic pressure) through agents based in the UK. Visits covering ethical, environmental and engineering issues are undertaken at sites in the Far East by Bisley personnel to ensure Bisley’s high criteria of workplace standards from Suppliers are met.
